Asset damage on Waiare Road has triggered an emergency shutdown THIS EVENING (10.3.26) from 6pm for approximately 1.5 hours.
The area affected is 21-65 Waiare Road, Scotts Road, Wehirua Road, Saward Road and Otaere Road.

A broken crossarm on Mangakahia Road has triggered an emergency shutdown THIS AFTERNOON (5.3.26) from 4pm for approximately 2 hours.
The area affected is Managakahia Road and some side roads - Adams Road, Gammon Road, Knudsen Road, Otaenga Road and Tokowhero Road (see map).

A broken crossarm on Oromahoe Road has triggered an emergency shutdown TONIGHT (24.2.26) from 5pm for approximately 2 hours.

The area affected is 422 to 743 SH10 Puketona, Oromahoe Rd, Oromahoe School Rd, Porotu Rd, McIntyres Rd & McDonald Rd (see map).

Kia ora all

We have an outage at our Kaitaia Substation on the 33kV feeder, affecting customers north of Pawarenga and Taupo Bay.

We have found the cause of the fault and are now working on a restoration plan. We expect to restore supply shortly.

🌳Trees too close to powerlines can cause power surges, power outages and fires. If a person touches a tree that's in contact with a powerline they can get an electric shock.

To protect the safety of the public and the security of the power supply, there are legal requirements under the Electricity (Hazards from Trees) Regulations 2003.
