A big shout out to Dave Cartwright for converting our ideas into reality!

These signs just look the part. Could not have been done without his CNC capability. Give Dave a call at Coastal Engineering to explore your next project.

Just love it!!!

Axe making… we start with the raw ingredients, add a pinch of heat and voila! There it is! Well… its a little more involved than that 🙂

If you fancy a day on the forge with a campfire stew to warm your belly, reach out and book a session now.

A truly authentic experience here on the coast.

See you soon!!!

We have the summer theme continuing this week… pizza cutters!

Right now, these are only available through our blacksmithing experience i.e. we help you make one yourself.

Want to book a session? Reach out and lock it in.

Thinking ahead for summer? This burger smasher would be a perfect tool for the bbq!

Made from recycled farm equipment, this design is heavy and durable.

Reach out if you want to build your own or to order one.

Can’t find vintage window latches? Not a problem!

Here is a set of Monkey tail latches we whipped up at a client’s request. Something a little different to what we normally do but were happy to give it a go.

Next step, drill holes!

It doesn’t matter if it’s rain or shine here on the coast, the fire still roars!

Great to have Aaron, Jack and Robbie here on the forge this weekend making steak flippers and fire pokers.

Get in touch if you are thinking about wet weather holiday activities.

Note to farmers out there, if you have bent forks and want to straighten them, drop them off to the Kokatahi blacksmith for repair.

Here is a recent project which we managed to re-profile some tractor forks. One you see was not suitable and was turned into a bottle opener because, why not!!! 😂

Keep up the good work all farmers out there!

Here we go team… some amazing shots from kylie_perry_photography. It is worth noting, this was a candid visit from Kylie and the shots are absolutely amazing!!!

If you are looking at getting family portraits, wedding photos or to capture moments like these in your everyday life, please reach out to Kylie. You will jot be disappointed.

Personally, I am looking forward to capturing more of our journey here at the Kokatahi blacksmith as we branch out with new and exciting projects.
