Project Progress Update – Sims Metals
Great progress being made on site while working alongside Sims Metals.

Our team is currently installing underground stormwater drainage, laying the groundwork for efficient water management across the site.

Above ground, we’re constructing concrete pads to support the next phase of development.

Awesome effort from the crew to keep things moving safely and efficiently

We’re proud to mark the completion of Prestons Grove Stage 1 - a fantastic result delivered by the Johnston Civil team from February 2025 through to May 2026.

This project saw the successful delivery of:
60+ residential sections ready for build
500m of stormwater stream installation and planting
7,000m² of asphalt laid
50,000m³ of earthworks completed

With a total project value of $4 million, this has been a significant development, showcasing the scale and capability of our team on the ground.

A huge thank you to everyone involved - from our crew to subcontractors and partners – for their hard work and commitment to delivering another quality subdivision.

Progress from above!

Our Prestons Road subdivision is near completion, with over 60 sections developed as part of this full-scale project.

From bulk earthworks through to detailed infrastructure, this job also includes the construction of a new stormwater pond — a key feature in supporting the subdivision and surrounding area.
