This project meant a great deal to our team.
Recently, NZ Ceilings & Interiors supplied and installed acoustic panels in the Children's Cancer Service at Te Wao Nui, Wellington Regional Hospital.
The open design of the space is bright and welcoming but during busy times, noise levels build for patients, family and staff. The new acoustic panels help to create a quieter, calmer environment for care and time spent together.
A huge thank you to Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora for the care they provide every day, and also to T&R Interior Systems for generously providing the acoustic panels for this project.
Grateful to have played a little part in making the space comfortable for the children, families and staff who spend their time there.
Turning down the volume, turning up the care 💙
Walking into the Children’s Cancer Service at Te Wao Nui feels a little calmer this week. While we love the spacious design of our new hospital, the "hustle and bustle" of a busy ward can sometimes be overwhelming for our brave patients and their whānau.
Enter the Lepper family. While their daughter undergoes treatment for leukaemia, Nathan and his team at NZ Ceilings & Interiors decided to give back in a big way. They donated, supplied, and installed professional acoustic panels across the entire ceiling – a gift worth thousands of dollars!
"We noticed how quickly the space could become loud and overwhelming," says Nathan. "It’s a small contribution, but one we hope makes a real difference."
And it certainly has! Our nurses and families are already feeling the benefits of a quieter, more focused environment.
A massive thank you to Nathan, his family, and the NZ Ceilings & Interiors team for their incredible kindness and hard work. 🏠✨
