When people hear “renovation,” they often picture Pinterest boards, fresh paint, and a dreamy before-and-after reveal.
And sure, that’s part of it.

But the real story? It’s muddy boots, endless dust, and unexpected surprises behind every wall 🫣

We’re currently in the thick of renovating a 1940s bungalow, and while it’s incredibly rewarding, it's also a wild ride. These older homes have so much character, but they often come with hidden quirks: original materials, outdated layouts, and repairs that require more than a YouTube tutorial.

The key to staying sane through the chaos? Planning well, budgeting smart, and working with a team who actually enjoys rolling up their sleeves and bringing old homes back to life.

Because at the end of the day, there’s nothing quite like watching a tired house turn into a warm, solid, beautiful home, even if you’re covered in dust while doing it.
