Meet the team.
This is Harry, he is an honorary kiwi from Jersey 😜 .
He has spent 5 years in the construction industry, he began his apprenticeship in New Zealand, his first year in Auckland on commercial building and the second year building residential property, and in his third year he moved to Mangawhai where he worked on high end architectural builds.
Harry then went home to Jersey for 2 years where he worked on New builds, bespoke cabinetry and joinery and renovations, before coming back to New Zealand and joining the R&H crew. .
Harry’s favourite part of his career is finishing and detailed work, he loves being involved in the design and building process.
He makes special mention of the building culture here in NZ. He is a great addition to the R&H team.

Meet the team .
This is Regan, his building career began at school where he joined a building course, he then started his building apprenticeship working around Maungataroto, Mangawhai and Lang’s Beach for 4 years. He later joined another company in Mangawhai where he finished his apprenticeship and spent a couple of years there before heading to Queenstown. He worked in Millbrook on multi million dollar real estate, the homes were very high end which suited him perfectly as he has a high standard and an eye for detail. .
Regan then moved back into the North and worked as a subcontractor until 2019, when he began working as R&H Construction in Matakana, this is where he has been for the last 18months. .
Regan likes problem solving and working out ideas with the boys, he likes learning new ways to approach work and loves to think outside the square, he encourages apprentices to teach him new tricks as there is often 100 ways to do something. .
His favourite part of his career is the creativeness of it and seeing a clients face light up when you have created something for them. He also enjoys standing back at the end of the day and admiring the visual progress the team and himself have completed.

Meet the team .
This is Hamish, he is one of the directors of the company at R&H, Hamish began his career and apprenticeship in Dargaville and spent 6 years with a firm there, they worked on new builds and large scale renovations, which has given him a wide skill set, and taught him problem solving and planning. .
He moved to Mangawhai and worked with a company who focuses on high end architectural homes around Mangawhai heads, and Lang’s beach. .
The opportunity arose for him to take on an extensive project in Matakana where he has been for the last 18months. Hamish prides himself on finishing and has an eye for detail, he is an excellent communicator and likes to plan ahead so a job can run smoothly. .
One of Hamish’s favourite parts of the. building process is the very beginning of a job, setting out and establishing a good foundation is the key to a good end result.
