PEC Working together to create progressive long term solutions for future generations

Based in Marton, Rangitīkei, PEC started in 1939 and was the first to invent the petrol pump with a microprocessor. We have since led the way in developing and manufacturing accurate and efficient fuel dispensing solutions. Our brand also provides Electronic Manufacturing services across a range of industries for customers in New Zealand and Australia. Today, PEC continues to deliver high quality

equipment for the refuelling sector as we prepare to transition into low emission products, namely Hydrogen. Our promise is bold: to deliver the decisions and solutions now, for a future that may be generations away.

A memorable trip to Japan to reconnect with our long-standing partner, Tatsuno Corporation, to share in recent successes, and cement the future of our strong relationship.

We were honoured to celebrate and acknowledge the retirement of Tatsuno Corporation’s long-serving CEO, Hiromichi Tatsuno — a true leader whose contributions have shaped the company’s legacy. While Hiro san steps down as CEO, we’re pleased he will continue to serve as President, ensuring continuity and continued leadership.

For PEC CEO Richard Coxon, the personal relationship with Hiro san — spanning over 21 years has been a most rewarding aspect of the partnership. Richard is pictured presenting Hiro san with a Māori Waka Canoe Stern Leadership Trophy - the perfect trophy to recognise leadership, given that the navigator of the waka is the leader of the paddlers. Today the taurapa (stern piece) trophy signifies authority and leadership.

Hiro san, we wish you a long, healthy, and fulfilling retirement.

It was fantastic to be out in the Rangitīkei community today, connecting with local youth and sharing career opportunities at PEC.

Our “toss the ring over the nozzle” game sparked plenty of laughs and healthy competition — a great way to break the ice and get conversations flowing!

Huge thanks to Te Rūnanga o Ngā Wairiki Ngāti Apa for hosting another successful event.

We’re proud to be part of initiatives that empower and inspire the next generation.

We were excited to celebrate our 4th birthday on Friday, 1st August!

Although our roots go all the way back to 1939, this milestone marks four wonderful years of local ownership under CEO Richard Coxon and CIO Jo Coxon.

Joining us for the celebration was our independent director, Geoff Copstick, whose presence made the occasion even more special.

It was nice to celebrate the occasion with a stylish Husky tumbler birthday present from Richard and Jo.

Happy birthday to us and here's to many more.
