JOB AVAILABLE - Engineering Tradesperson / Fabricator Welder for
Transport Engineering Otago – Dunedin

Transport Engineering Otago is a well-established, locally owned business, and we’re looking for a motivated new team member to join our busy engineering workshop. This is a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on quality and customer service.

About the Role
We're seeking either an Engineering Tradesperson or Fabricator Welder who is confident across a variety of workshop tasks. The ideal applicant will have solid fabrication skills along with experience in repairs, maintenance, and general engineering.

You’ll be involved in:
• General repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers
• Fabrication of new decks and truck set-ups

What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in fabrication, welding, and general engineering
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional workmanship
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good health and safety awareness
• Excellent communication skills
• Applicants must have New Zealand Residency

The team at TEO recently built this tipping drop side deck (attached to Isuzu FRR Chassis - supplied by Cooke Howlison) for RMF Contracting Blenheim .
This Cyclic truck features a heated floor for asphalt, sign holders, onboard water for a wash down, full sized tool box with some very cool slide out doors and a road sweeper (built by TL Mclean, Dunedin).

This Scania truck shows another great build by the TEO team. Their 5-Metre full Hardox bin was built for Joyce's Contracting in the Palmerston/Dunback area a while back. Featuring a retractable tarp, this build is made especially durable and reliable to withstand the harsh NZ specific weather conditions.

Check out this new 5000l dust suppression unit supplied by Otago Commercial Wholesales (OCW Ltd) that the TEO team fitted on a brand new Fuso chassis. This build allows full control from inside the cabin and has front and rear sprays, creek and top fill. The team did an awesome job with this build for Commercial Hire NZ Limited (CHNZ).
