A recycled oar, something the owners had held onto for years, repurposed as the front door handle. The kind of detail that personalises a home and reflects the environment.

Enhancing the approach to the home is an entry pergola constructed in Tonka hardwood known for its strength in exposed conditions. Cedar battens add filtered light and softness against the surrounding materials.
Beyond the cedar-slatted door lies a covered walkway lined in rusticated 28mm weatherboard with extruded aluminium external corner flashings creating clean lines and aesthetic appeal.

Behind these construction shots is a huge amount of planning and problem-solving. The engineering is bordering on commercial in complexity, but it has allowed the home to really maximise the site and make the most of every part of it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What also makes this home special is that it has been designed to be fully wheelchair accessible throughout, without losing the feeling of a considered, high-quality architectural build. It is a home designed to work beautifully now and well into the future.

When landscaping isn’t an afterthought.

On this project, landscaping and planting was considered right from the outset.

Some of the trees being planted are up to 30 years old and the landscaping has been carefully scheduled around the construction programme - not just added on at the end.

Craig trained as a furniture maker in London, working for the Fortnum & Mason family and brings a level of exceptional craftsmanship to the team. The younger guys bring passion and an eagerness to develop their skills along with energy that helps keep everything moving.
