Good news - Matt Birch is on the mend!
As many of you know, Matt our director and lead trainer, has been out of action and seriously ill in hospital over the past four weeks.
While he will need to take the rest of 2026 to rest, recover, and get back to 100%, we want to pause and say a massive THANK YOU to every single person who reached out, sent messages, prayed prayers, checked in, visited with puzzle books, strawberries and good yarns and supported Matt and our team during this time. Your kindness has warmed us all.
There are a few people who we are most thankful for; Sue Pinkney who picked up all the loose ends for weeks and weeks, saved our bacon on multiple occasions, and is simply one of the kindest people on earth. Andre Van Dyk (Natref Training) who willingly travels up and down NZ over and over again to fill Matt’s shoes at training courses. Jason Roberts (Skillsure Academy) who most generously amalgamated some of our courses with his to ensure our customers get compliant. We appreciate each of you very much indeed.
We again express our sincere apologies to those who had booked on courses which were unable to go ahead. Thankyou for your understanding.
Also, we have huge appreciation for the top-notch care Matt received in Ward 34, ICU and HDU at Middlemore Hospital, if it was in Matt’s power to give out halos, he would have given a bunch of them.
Looking ahead… 2027 is going to be an absolute banger of a year! We are all looking forward to hitting the ground running. There are plans for training in the islands, new courses and a handful of enhancements to make training easier and more efficient.
