Meet the tumbler, the clean-up crew at Meeanee Firewood! 🔥

Our tumbler spins the firewood, helping remove all those small bits, bark and loose rubbish before it heads onto the truck or trailer.

That means cleaner loads, less mess and less of those little bits left behind on your driveway.

Not the flashiest job in the yard, but it definitely earns its keep!

When you both work other jobs, sometimes 10+ hour days, and then come home to work on the job you actually love… well, this is what it looks like.

Dark. Cold. Raining. And of course, the only time we have to work on our pride and joy is after the sun goes down. 😂

Thank goodness Hayden installed some decent spotlights, because apparently we’ve decided sleep is overrated.

It’s 7 days a week at the moment, and it’s definitely not the easy way of doing things. But when it’s something you’re passionate about and you’re trying to get your baby back up and running, you just keep putting in the hard yards.

We split and load up at night and johnny delivers for us the next day. No retirement for him just yet 😉 without the help of family, we couldn't do all this, we really appreciate all the help

Unfortunately, all our pine for this winter is wet from the rain. It will need about two weeks to dry out after delivery...

Unfortunately, all our pine for this winter is wet from the rain. It will need about two weeks to dry out after delivery before you can burn it. We dont have our covers like we use to have before Gabrial. We are however working on getting shelters for our wood in future. One step at a time.

Perfect conditions for getting absolutely filthy!

🚛 The gum logs are rolling in for next winter’s firewood, and yes… the truck is slowly becoming part of the paddock!

Rain? Yip
Mud? Plenty!
Clean clothes? Not anymore! 😂

We’ll keep slogging away so Hawke’s Bay can stay warm next winter. 🔥🪵

You know it's not ideal when even the machine decides it needs a day off! 😅

Unfortunately, our firewood processor has broken down, and we're currently waiting on a replacement part to arrive. Fingers crossed, we'll be back up and running within the next couple of days.

If you're waiting on an order, we sincerely apologise for the delay and really appreciate your patience and understanding. We promise Hayden is just as keen as you are to get the machine going again! (He's probably worn a track pacing around waiting for the courier! 🚚😂)

Ever wondered how big our 1 bin of firewood actually is? 🤔🐾

Well... Jax and Chip were more than happy to help with the demonstration! 🐶🐶

This is the size of our 1 bin order – an apple bin measuring approximately 0.9m³. It's the smallest load we offer and is perfect if you don't need a full winter's supply.

For those wondering:
🪵 1 bin = 0.9m³ (apple bin size)
🪵 4 bins = 1 cord

Hopefully this gives you a better idea when you're deciding how much firewood you need.

(We're not sure how much help Jax and Chip actually were... but they definitely wanted to be part of the photo! 😂)
