How good are those bathrooms and kitchen? This is some of the internal of a house we completed earlier this year on the hills of Taradale- our clients have done an amazing job turning it into a real home by bringing each room to life with the use of plants and their art and furniture- we look forward to showing the rest soon, some decks and landscaping to take place and this property will be looking incredible🔥

Happy Birthday to us🍾🍻👌 CTM Construction is 8 years old today!! 8 years ago today I was doing a bit of work on the 14th story of a Wellington city building in the Treadwells law firm when they decided I needed a company to trade properly- they signed me up then and there and off I went.. I worked for some amazing clients all over the Wellington region for 4 or so years before heading over the hill to Martinborough for a couple of my bigger clients, we dragged along my first apprentice and found another one when we got there and we did some awesome jobs over there that you don’t always get the opportunity to get as young unestablished builders so I wasn’t saying no- it was a challenging few years ( working in an isolated area where the closest town is a small rural one bought very unique challenges- the best subbies in the area didn’t want to work for the new young builder in town🤣 so I had to convince my amazing wellington subbies to make the trip over or earn the trust of the local guys,then the main access road fell 100 metres down the hill which made delivery’s hard as the trip was now about 90 minutes and through farm gates etc I had to pick my staff up from the slip in the mornings while I stayed on site) but we overcame all that and 2 and a half years later finished up and got out of there as I had clients in Hawkes Bay wanting a couple of great builds on the hill in Taradale built for them- I even managed to drag an apprentice back here to the bay with me which helped hugely in getting established and producing the great work we love to do. We are done with moving for a while so are in Hawkes Bay to stay. We think the fact we have been operating for 8 years and have many returning customers in multiple regions shows we are trust worthy and diligent in what we do we know how to juggle quality with level of spec, regulations, cost and time and also emotions when people are dealing with large sums of money- we always pay our bills and so will always be able to operate well with good pricing from merchants and prompt service from our subbies which ultimately will ensure each job runs well…

Stage one of this Valley road Home is almost complete! External works are mostly done and it’s all go inside with the fully tiled bathroom in its early stages of water proofing and kitchen and flooring any day now so the electricians and plumbers can get in and fit off. Although not until the 8 kw of solar panels has been installed to the tiltable solar panel frames our client has been busy chipping away at- all this power will be distributed through an advanced battery system in the new shed along with a back up generator to ensure they don’t run out of power during those dark winter days❄️ Our clients are very excited to move in early September so they can crack into some landscaping🤣 Another challenging site for the CTM Construction team with no fixed power source for the entire build and a rural bog of a site some distance out of town but our experience in challenging builds in challenging sites ensures we nail it 🔨on budget and time every time. We love the hard stuff! At CTM Construction we pride ourselves on getting excited about the jobs that most get stressed and anxious about- Whether it be an early morning concrete slab pour or an expensive crane booked to lift very long sheets of iron onto a roof with a difficult site you can trust that we have the skills and energy to get the job done and done right✅ you can trust us to make the big calls to keep the project moving on time and to budget even if it does mean building a temporary roof the night before so you don’t have to wait 5 or 6 weeks for the next pour slot because of a bit of rain.. Trust us to get your little cottage moved to a better spot on the property ‘properly’ and let us do the digging and sort the steel for the foundations because bu**er that you’ve got better things to do🤷‍♂️👍🪚🔨👊

Although quiet on here we have been ridiculously busy over the last few months! As the Minor dwelling up on the hills of Taradale comes to an end the Main house is well and truely underway with roof just about complete and windows and doors arriving next week, hopefully before little Mr McLeod arrives so I can help the boys lift them in!- Not to mention a cottage moved and a bathroom completed. We do it all at CTM Construction and we do it well. We’ve been accumulating some great content and look forward to sharing it with you in the coming weeks👍🔥

What a mess.. Our region has taken an absolute hiding this week, the losses for so many people are huge and it’s going to take a long time for us to rebuild… But we will. We are glad we have already been able to help this week in many ways and will continue to do so for as long as required- anyone out there needing help feel free to get in contact👍

Our Te Roera Minor dwelling is coming along nicely now🔥 Steel portals are up and wall framing has been installed in between.. Roof framing is well under way and the roofing is booked to be delivered first week back in January, due to the length of the sheets and the difficult access we require the use of 2 cranes and a hiab truck to get the sheets up the drive way and on to the roof, all options were considered including helicopter how ever the safest and most economical way was chosen- we look forward to sharing this process with you in early Jan!🏗️ 🔨👌

Massive few weeks for the team to get the slab down on our Te Roera drive Minor Dwelling. We made an ambitious goal and booked the diggers, concrete trucks, concrete placers, concrete pump, sparkies, plumbers and multiple engineer and council inspections about 4 weeks ago and just made it happen. There was a bit going on in this foundation as once the block work was up and filled with concrete we had to let the concrete cure sufficiently before back filling with the crushed aggregate- once we were able to start filling it was subject to Geo Technical Engineer testing every 500 mm in this case and then once we got hgh enough to reduce weight on the walls we actually continued back filling with large slabs of polystyrene- Dpm then goes down and more polystyrene, more steel and then boom ready for the slab once services are all positioned correctly.. steel portals are on site and ready to go up and frames turn up Thursday so things are heating up up here🔥👊🔨
