First time I’ve been involved in building a pole shed, so it’s been good getting stuck into a completely different style of construction and learning another way of doing things.

One of the best parts of this industry is there’s always something new to learn. You never know everything, and working alongside other good builders is another way to keep improving.

COMMON ROOM REFRESH 🔨

A clean, simple refurbishment that’s made a massive difference to this space.

We’ve given this kitchenette and common room a fresh new look with new flooring, wall finishes, lighting and a practical kitchenette setup — creating a much cleaner, more modern and usable space.

Nothing over the top. Just a solid refurbishment designed to handle everyday use and look good doing it.

Another Thursday, another subbie shoutout 🤝

Hutchison Flooring getting stuck into the flooring stage — vinyl down, wall carpet going up, and floor prep underway for the carpet tiles.

We’ve gone with carpet tiles instead of traditional carpet for this dormitory. They’re durable, practical and, if a tile gets damaged or stained, it can simply be replaced without pulling up a whole section of carpet.

Small decisions like this make a big difference when you’re building spaces that need to handle plenty of use.

We’re finishing off our installation today and giving the area a final clean-up ready for the next subcontractors to come through.

We needed this boundary fence sorted quickly after the existing fence came down, with an upcoming inspection and council requirements needing to be met.

With our team busy across other projects, Liam jumped in and got it sorted. 💪

That’s why having good, reliable subcontractors around you is so important. You can’t always be everywhere at once, and having people you trust to step in and deliver makes all the difference.

🔨 COMMON ROOM REFURBISHMENT | WORK IN PROGRESS

Another refurbishment underway for the Kasano team.

This dormitory common room was ready for an upgrade, so we’ve stripped the space back and started transforming it into a cleaner, more modern and functional area.

The project includes a new mini-kitchen, new cabinetry and bench space, wall and flooring upgrades, along with the building work required to bring the whole area together.

The goal is simple — take an older, tired space and make it practical, durable and better suited to everyday use.

Still a work in progress, but it’s already looking very different from where we started. 👌

A freshen-up for one of Hawke’s Bay’s coolest local businesses. 🔥

We recently completed some exterior maintenance for The Sauna Project, replacing damaged corner flashings and repairing dented cladding to keep their mobile sauna looking sharp.
