✨Sometimes, the biggest impact can be made in the smallest space! ☕

In this kitchen upgrade, we:

🍞 maximised the space available, providing some much-needed additional storage

🫗 installed a full tiled splashback for a modern look and an easy clean surface

🍳 installed a new granite benchtop, tapware and cupboards, increasing the depth ever so slightly of the cabinets to match the profile of the oven in order to gain just that little bit more storage space

🥣 installed the all-important dish drawer to take the hard work out of hand-washing dishes

💡 lightened up the space with downlights in the new ceiling

🔨 replaced the pinex ceiling tiles with gib board and a few fresh layers of paint

🔌installed new power points for all those essential kitchen appliances

This custom vanity top was made in-house with reclaimed timber and paired with a unique tiled splash back and 'slid' into this new Nelson bathroom.

🏠 A client approached us to renovate their Mother's bathroom to be more accessible, check out just a few of the changes we made:

🚿 We created an entry-level shower with a sliding door, so there is nothing to trip over.

🪑 A fold-down seat to enjoy a nice long shower.

🔨 The bathroom and toilet used to be divided by a wall and door, so we opened up the space, which allowed us to change the position of the shower, toilet and hand basin.

🚽 We installed a low spur wall beside the toilet to incorporate a handrail.

🚪 We also made the access to the bathroom itself wider with an extra wide cavity slider so that entering the bathroom in a wheelchair was a breeze.

A few details you don't see: 👀

🚿 A new hot water cylinder was installed to maximise the water pressure and was also connected to the we***ck of the fire.

🌡 Under tile heating to take the chill off the room and keep it toasty and warm.

🪟 There was a window in the old toilet space that we covered over to create the shower space. We then plastered the hole to match the existing exterior stucco

🪟 Safety glass was fitted to the remaining window.

✨✨ Giving New Life to Beautiful Timber! ✨✨

The Renovators embarked on a journey to transform the kitchen and ensuite of this Nelson home. While completing these renovations, we uncovered some sturdy beech framing. The no-longer required framing was swiftly repurposed for the top floor balustrade of this staircase, with the intent to come back when the time was right for our client to create a lower-level balustrade from the same beech studs. We're chuffed with how the balustrade came up and that we could repurpose this beautiful timber that was surplus to requirement.

This is my second experience with The Renovators having my bathroom done a while back; from that experience, I didn’t hesitate to use them again.

What I like about the Renovators is they listen to the customer, are open and honest, can organise everything, design, pros and cons of various options and could explain to me what and why certain things needed to be done to bring my older house up to scratch to install my new kitchen. The whole team is friendly, easy to work with and always on the spot or on the end of the phone to answer any questions I had throughout the process. They have their own tradesmen or line up quality tradesmen eg tilers, who all work to a very high standard. The kitchen cabinetry and bench top is of high quality, I am very pleased with it. There’s a lot more work and coordination involved in installing a new kitchen than I realised, which the Renovators easily managed for me."
