A peek at The Studio @ Project Mon
A small footprint, but a highly technical build.
Carefully positioned within the existing trees and nestled into the natural bank, this studio has been designed to sit quietly within its environment rather than compete with it. Every element of the build requires a high level of precision - from working within tight access and existing root zones, to integrating the structure seamlessly into the landscape.
A couple of key design features include the seamless integration of the accessway from the existing house, which transitions into an open-air but internally framed staircase leading down to the studio entry. Above, the roof has been highly engineered and incorporates planting, allowing the structure to visually blend back into the surrounding hillside.
Projects like this may be small in scale, but they demand a level of craftsmanship and problem-solving that we really enjoy.
