- Join Diverse Engineering based in Nelson
Due to a recent change of ownership, Diverse Engineering are looking to employ experienced Marine Welders and Fabricators to join our team in the port area of Sunny Nelson.
To be successful you will need 5+ years experience in the Ship Repair or Marine industry. We are specifically looking for applicants with heavy welding and fabrication experience (not sheet metal / light gauge steel workers). Practical tests will be mandatory upon successful employment.
You must be currently living in NZ as a permanent resident, NZ citizen or hold a work visa allowing you to work in Nelson, New Zealand.
A full New Zealand Drivers License is essential for this position, as while the position is based in Nelson, occasional out of town work is required.
WELDERS - We are looking for Mild steel welders with experience in Mig and Stick at a minimum. You will need to pass welding ISO9606 qualification to satisfy 90 day trial period.
FABRICATORS - Must be able to interpret production drawings and accurately fabricate from them.
Key skills and attributes include:
- High levels of workmanship
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Clean record as police clearance is necessary for all employees
The roles will involve long hours and the successful applicants must be comfortable with shift work when required (i.e. Day or Night Shift). This is a permanent full time position.
