Quick word on our guest speaker. Mike Casey is one of the people paving the way for farmers, and Kiwis in general, to electrify and take control of their own power. He's the bloke behind Rewiring Aotearoa and Forest Lodge, the first fully electric orchard in the country, and he's been working with the rural banks on how farmers actually finance this gear. He's not talking theory, he's already done it, and now he's showing the rest of us how. Speaking on Friday, and honestly worth the trip on its own.

Friday's event just got better! 👀 we've got the team from BYD New Plymouth bringing a few EVs and the Shark 6 ute along.

So as well as the solar and hot water yarn, you can wander out, kick the tyres, and have a proper look at what these things are actually like — with test drives hopefully on the cards too.
