At Clarus, we’re about to begin our annual on‑site skin check programme for kaimahi (staff) across the motu, delivered in partnership with Skin Aware

And the impact is real. Last year:
✅ 318 staff took part
✅ 1 in 6 were referred for follow‑up
✅ 23 skin cancers were identified, including melanoma

We also provide health insurance for our kaimahi, helping people access support if skin cancer is identified.

Annual skin checks are just one of the initiatives we offer as part of our Got Your Back wellbeing toolbox. You can find out more about Got Your Back, along with the other values that fuel our good energy @ work, on our website: https://clarus.co.nz/careers

A reliable energy supply helps keep New Zealand homes warm, businesses running and power prices more stable.

PwC New Zealand’s latest Gas Supply & Demand Study highlights how LNG could help strengthen New Zealand’s energy security and support a more reliable energy future.

Read more:

Recent debate in New Zealand about LNG has focused heavily on cost, global markets and uncertainty. These are valid considerations. But the more fundamental question is what our energy system will require over the next decade, and how we manage those requirements in a practical way.

At Clarus, wellbeing isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all. Recently, one of our team used a 'Got Your Back' wellbeing day to head into the Pouākai Ranges with fellow volunteers — clearing traplines, supporting Predator Free NZ 2050, and protecting kiwi habitat in Taranaki.

It was physically tough, mentally challenging, and deeply rewarding — combining time outdoors, good company, and purpose.

Our Got Your Back days are about giving people the freedom to support their wellbeing in ways that matter to them — whether that’s rest, connection, family time, or giving back 🌿

Good energy @ work starts with backing our people.
