That’s a wrap for 2021!! We celebrated this challenging year in style last night with our inaugural Builders Olympics and an amazing Catered meal by Richard Ponder! Great to have our friends Ricky Fox and Gene and their crews with us too. We want to say a massive Thankyou to Mathis Smith, Mark Parthemore, Sam Foreman, Ali Smith, Shae, Muzza, Mace, Simon, Jesse, Seb and Ruth for making The Makers the coolest little building company in town.
You’ve all earned a really good holiday.

Check it out! This is the first prototype of the Wheely Wash.

It's made from Gareth's old wheelie bin that he usually keeps in the back of his work van or at work sites. We've got a whole bunch of new wheelie bins arriving this week to be fitted out just like this one as fully mobile, no-plumbing-required, foot-pump-operated hand washing stations. Very exciting!!

In this video Gareth and Hayden Shearman explain how the Wheely Wash works and who it's designed for.

Hands up who would love one of these hand washing stations at their local store or petrol station?!?! Ladies and gentleman, introducing the Wheely Wash!!

What is it? Well, it's an ordinary everyday wheelie bin that you can easily move to wherever you need it BUT we've done some major modifications so it's now an all-in-one, fully foot pump operated, soap-water-hand-towels included, no plumbing required, Covid-19-curve-crushing hand washing station.

Pretty choice aye!

With hand washing stations massively in short supply, we reckon this is an excellent solution to make sure every shop and essential workplace can stay safe during the Covid-19 recovery. So it's been our big lockdown project to get these ready for you all to use.

We've made a commitment to build these for every business that needs them for just $14 per day—which is a cheaper and more effective option than hand sanitiser!

The news ran an article on the Wheely Wash here: https://www.stuff.co.nz/taranaki-daily-news/news/121125691/the-wheely-wash--a-taranaki-builders-lockdown-invention
