Quick tip for the Vb crew out there.
Leave 2 sheets of iron off and build yourself a platform ladder. This gave the lads an easy to climb space for working and tool storage.
We installed apron flashing, cladding and painted before installing iron to prevent any dents, scratches or paint spillage.

Has been some testing weather for the Vision built team. We power through even with 4 seasons in one day. Scaff is up trusses and purlins on and we're ready for roof. And yes we do roofing aswell.

Luckily we can keep scaffolding cost down as we have our own. 1 set up and dismantle fee is all we charge so there's no weekly hire with can get costly with this weather and timeliness.

Having a fresh apprentice is like raising ur own.

You have them through late teens and early twenties. They come with the ups and downs, coming in on Monday with the weekend goss. Watching a young boy be molded into a Vision built is quite the experience.
But don't be fooled by their innocent little face.

Here at Vision Built we are all about health and safety and identifying your hazards. Always remember hazard no1 is your apprentice. We strap ours with pink earmuffs so we can always spot our hazard and so can others.

Hazard for the week is our newly recruited Conor Young .

The vision Built team always use j-frame timber for framing. A laminated timber that stays straight and true and also doesn't swell with moisture.

We had plywood bracing on most corners so we decided to go with the full rigid barrier system. This gives the entire house better bracing, r value for insulation and sound. Next up trusses

Big week for the vision built lads. In 5 days we broken ground, compacted our foundation, boxed up, tied steel and poured concrete.

The vision built team does it all from start to finish. Throw in a couple of pies, a few cans of v and the weather playing ball we completed our 1st stage of our own future home.
