Fresh stock of Red Box portable power units just in! 🔋

These aren't just boxes on wheels. They're purpose-built aircraft power solutions designed to deliver reliable DC power for engine starts, avionics work, and electrical support across a wide range of aircraft.

Operating a voltage-sensitive aircraft like a PC-12? The 26V battery carts are built for exactly that level of precision.

Need steady power for avionics work or database updates? The RBSC and RBPS units deliver consistent, reliable output so you can focus on the job.

Need flexibility? Dual voltage units can start either 14V or 28V aircraft.

Operating remotely without mains power? Self-powered GPUs provide both start capability and continuous power wherever you are.

The right unit depends on your aircraft and your operation. Get in touch with the team, and we'll help you find the best solution for your needs.

Some families have aviation in their blood. The Sergents have Fieldair.

As part of our 75th anniversary, we're proud to celebrate one of our most remarkable family stories: the Sergent family, whose contribution to Fieldair spans nearly five decades and three generations.

Harold Sergent joined around 1978, bringing a strong background in automotive and diesel engineering. He spent years building Pratt & Whitney R1830 radial engines for the DC-3 topdressing fleet, before returning in 1983 to build over 100 IO-720 Lycoming engines for the Fletcher topdresser fleet. Now 87, Harold is still active building speedway motorcycle engines in his spare time, a passion spanning over six decades.

His son Bert joined in 1992 at just 21, specialising in engine builds and playing a key role in developing the Chev V8 Fletcher topdresser engine. After a period in helicopter maintenance, Bert returned in 2015 and now serves as Engineering Manager for Components and NDT.

Harold's other son, Les, joined in 2016, bringing a wide range of skills across automotive, motorcycle, and mechanical maintenance. He's now a valued member of the GSE team, keeping loaders, tugs, and essential ground equipment running reliably.

And in 2025, Bert's son, Grayson, joined the team at just 19 and is currently gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing, repairs, and welding.

Three generations. Nearly five decades. One family that has helped keep Fieldair flying. 🛩️

On the road with ITW GSE! ✈️

A couple of weeks ago, Phil and ITW representative Steven Ng completed a whistlestop tour of New Zealand, visiting operators from Auckland to Christchurch to connect with the people using ITW ground power equipment every day.

Stops included Air New Zealand, Menzies, Swissport, Auckland International Airport, Wellington International Airport, Christchurch International Airport, and a number of other operators along the way.

Steven shared technical insights on the ITW GSE Power Share box and the growing demand for the ITW GSE 7400 Eco GPU conversations that are becoming increasingly relevant as airports look to reduce emissions and get more out of their existing ground power infrastructure.

And a special moment to finish the trip: the last Air Chathams flight out of Kāpiti Coast Airport on 31 July, with an ITW GSE 1400 doing what it does best in the background. A unit that has been reliably powering operations at that site for many years.

If you'd like to know more about ITW GSE equipment for your operation, either outright sale or a lease option get in touch with Phil 📞 022 1234 024

We often talk about getting parts to our customers quickly, but we don't always talk about the people who help make it happen. ✈️

So today we're giving a shout-out to our local DHL and New Zealand Couriers drivers and the teams working behind them.

They're at Fieldair day in, day out, dropping off parts from around the world and collecting everything from everyday orders to urgent AOG shipments where every hour counts.

Once those boxes leave our door, there's often an aircraft, an engineer, or a customer somewhere waiting for what's inside.

Thank you for the great service, the laughs, the quick turnarounds, and for always helping us get things moving when it matters most.

You may be delivering the boxes, but you're helping us keep aircraft flying. From all of us at Fieldair, thank you! 🙌

Choosing the right avionics for your aircraft isn't just about picking a brand. It's about finding the right solution for how you fly. 🛩️

As an authorised Garmin Aviation dealer with full installation and certification capability, Fieldair can take you through the whole process from helping you work out what's actually right for your aircraft and operation, through to supply, installation, certification, and ongoing support if something goes wrong.

We're not tied to one manufacturer, so when we recommend Garmin, it's because it genuinely fits your needs, not because it's what we sell.

One conversation with our team can cover a lot of ground. If you're thinking about upgrading your avionics or want to talk through the options, that's a great place to start.
