🐴 Here's a project we’ve been quietly chipping away at...

We’ve been working with Ararimu Float & Trailer Hire on a full fleet of four brand‑new horse floats. One float after another moving through the workshop as the frames, panels, and interiors come together.

Today we’re excited to show a bit of progress: floats 2 and 3 are nearly finished, with the last of the fit‑out and checks happening now.
Float 4 is queued up next, ready to hit the build table.

If you’re a rider in the area who might need a float soon, now’s a good time to follow along. Once these are in service, locals will have more hire options available — something the community has been asking for.

Dakota is a young Northland Bush Pony who was mustered in 2024 and later welcomed a surprise filly, Dolly. After Dolly was weaned, Dakota began her gentle training and has been with her current owner since late 2025. This float was purpose‑built to give her a safe, calm start to travelling — and what you’re seeing is only her second time ever loading. It’s a great example of how thoughtful design supports a green pony’s confidence, and we genuinely enjoyed working on this special project for her.
