We were incredibly privileged to work alongside Rangitāne o Wairau to help bring this beautiful waharoa at Ruakanakana to life.

The waharoa tells the story of a landscape shaped by its waterways, wetlands and the people who have lived alongside them for generations. At its heart stands an ancestor figure representing the many rangatira, whānau and communities connected to Ruakanakana and the wider Wairau landscape.

It was a real privilege for our CNC Cutting Department and Fabrication department, with Josh Gregory playing a key role in bringing Keelan Walker’s vision and design into reality.

We’re incredibly proud to have contributed our skills to a project with such strong connections to whakapapa, whenua and the history of our region. ❤️

A huge mihi to Rangitāne o Wairau, Keelan Walker and everyone involved for allowing Gregory Engineering to be part of this special kaupapa.

Today, Josh Gregory is taking on the Sky Tower firefighters memorial climb in Auckland, climbing 56 flights of stairs in memory of the firefighters and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Josh had the incredible honour of meeting members of the American firefighting community and hearing from firefighters connected to the events of 9/11🧑‍🚒🇺🇸

Standing alongside these men is a moment Josh — and all of us at Gregory Engineering — will never forget.

Today we remember the 343 firefighters who lost their lives, along with all the first responders and innocent people who never made it home.

Their courage. Their sacrifice. Their legacy.
Never forgotten. 🇺🇸❤️🧑‍🚒
