Every now and tAJ'S Engineering Services ltdt makes us think a little harder, and this one in the Waikato was definitely one of them.
Half of this herringbone shed was an old rotary and the other half was an addition to house the new herringbone. this means our feed system had to run through two different buildings.
Where the two buildings joined, the roof was extremely low, so we had no choice but to run our auger line much lower than we normally would. Because the dispensers were now sitting closer to the cows, we installed our mesh protection rails to limit the amount of damage the cows could cause.
Not every shed is straightforward, but thereโs normally a way to make a system work with whatโs already there.
Jono and his team AJ'S Engineering Services ltd did an awesome job working around a pretty tricky shed and getting this one finished off bloody tidy. Thanks for putting in the late nights to get this one over the line too. Itโs bloody appreciated!
