Here is a couple of photos of 402 Hutt Road project that we have completed recently. The first is when we started and then when it was finished. Plenty of challengers along the way but now it is ready for another 50 years of use by the community.

Moved in to our new building a few days ago. Forgot what a mission moving is. Now back to work.

Busy year for Strait Construction in 2023. We are commencing a new job on Hutt Road for Kainga Ora. Comprises an extensive modernisation of this building so it can serve the community for the next 50 years.
This is what it has looked like for the last 50+ years but It will be wrapped soon and when it re-emerges it will be almost unrecognisable. Looking forward to delivering this transformation

First time Strait Construction have been instructed to stop work on a job by the Government but it has been a strange year. Covid aside Strait have finished Matariki Kindergarten and now the Kids and Staff are enjoying the facility which is top notch.

Enjoyed working with Grant at Rayner Architectural Design, and Rob and the staff of Whanau Manaaki Kindergartens.
The result is an up to the minute kindergarten that will provide years of service.

New projects are underway. We currently have 2 years of forward work and are looking for Carpenters and Apprentices to join the team. Only a little house building monotony here. So if a variety of challenging projects with a stable team in Wellington sounds interesting contact Strait to discuss a job with a future.

Really unusual to stop work for 5 weeks but we are back into it. Hope everyone made the most of the time they had in their bubble. Time to get Matariki Kindy finished now!

Strait Construction are building a new Kindergarten in Upper Hutt. Enjoying the brand new build. Certainly makes a change from the remediation work we have been doing.

Strait Construction have recently completed a earthquake strengthening and refurbishment of Ngati Toa Hall in Mana for Porirua City Council. Now it’s a useful facility for the community for another 50 Years.

Strait recently completed the facade refurbishment of Capital Apartments, 370 Oriental Parade Wellington.
