Safety is paramount here at Wellington Scaffolding! Recently, our team underwent a refresher on the onsite rescue plan for the Seaview Wharf project out in Lower Hutt. Due to the proximity to water, life jackets are the primary safety measure, replacing safety harnesses in accordance with the SSSP. By employing safe building techniques, such as the Step Up and Tunnelling methods, we have deemed a fall into the sea as a safer option. Even with tools and heavy boots, the life jackets will keep our team members afloat.

No fish have been harmed during the project 😉 great work, team!

We're proud to have installed the scaffold and encapsulation for the Freyberg Pool along the Wellington waterfront. This iconic building was reclad as part of a major upgrade, and our team worked to ensure that the work was completed safely and efficiently.

We have completed an outstanding project at 135 Victoria Street in the heart of the Wellington CBD. This highly engineered scaffold is supported by cantilevering brackets and will be used to install new windows, paint, and seismically strengthen the building. A catch fan has also been built at the base of the scaffold to protect pedestrians from falling debris.

Throwback Thursday!

Our North & South Island commercial teams came together for a sales conference two weeks ago, and we were lucky to have guest speaker Logan McLennan from Naylor Love share his knowledge and insights from the main contractor's perspective. It was a great opportunity to upskill, share experiences, and talk about how we can best service our clients.

Flashback Friday!

Last Thursday, we brought our leaders from across NZ Scaffolding Group to Wellington for a leadership session and for the Layher NZ User Group Meeting. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to help out with erecting the displays at the Layher Open Day, where the Layher team set up a range of their existing and innovative new products. We have invested in many of Layher’s most recent innovations, such as the Flex beam, but our team still loved getting their hands on the new stuff!

Layher is the worldwide leader in scaffolding products with a long family history and a customer-first approach. Their experience and innovation help us give our customers the best possible access solutions. We really value our relationship with Layher - we’ve worked together for over 10 years now and look forward to many more!

You will receive training, good pay-rates and an amazing team to work with.
You must be comfortable or have some experience working around heavy gear and labouring. A forklift licence will be an added bonus.
