Not all outdoor products are created equal.

Shade sails, covers, marine canvas and outdoor furniture all have to deal with plenty of UV, weather and everyday wear.

We see the difference when repair jobs come through the workshop. Sometimes the cheaper option ends up needing repairs, replacing parts or being completely remade sooner than expected.

Then there are the jobs that come back years later still going strong, ready for a refresh rather than a replacement.

We’re not saying everything has to be the most expensive option. It just needs to be the right material, fit and construction for the job.

Not all canvas is made for the same job.

One of the first questions we ask isn't “What colour do you want?”

It's “What is it going to be doing?”

A boat cover, outdoor blind, furniture cover or vehicle cover can all have very different requirements.

We consider things like UV exposure, weather, salt air, everyday wear and how often the finished product will be used when choosing the right material.

Because the fabric matters just as much as the finished design.

It's one of those details that might not be obvious when you look at the finished product, but makes a big difference over time.

A cover can look simple.

But getting the fit right is where a lot of the work happens.

Every shape, corner, fixing point and tension area needs to be considered so the finished piece does what it's actually supposed to do.

That's why we pattern and make our covers specifically for the item they're protecting, rather than trying to make one design fit everything.

Good fit = better function.

A pool cover doesn't need to be complicated. It just needs to fit properly, do its job and stand up to being used outdoors.

This one was made to suit the space, giving the pool some protection when it's not in use.
