Leaving the bathroom window open slightly allows airflow into the bathroom and will improve the extractor fan's effectiveness. It doesn’t have to be wide open - just a few centimetres will be enough to let the air in and out.

After a shower, let the fan run for a few more minutes - the steam will be circulating the room…

Show your extractor fan the love too, but cleaning it regularly - this will maintain their performance, not to mention look a lot smarter without any dust and dirt.

Ventilation is as important, if not more, than warmth in the cooler months - extractor fans help pull the moisture from the inside air back outside (or into the ceiling).

Make sure you have good extraction systems in the wet areas in the home (bathroom, laundry and kitchen). Extractor fans need to be sized and located properly for the size and type of room, we can support you in recommending the right options for your housing plan!
