It was a privilege to attend the opening of Country Lane’s Schoolhouse Studios yesterday. The boys have been busy ticking off last minute jobs and the final results are truly stunning. It’s been a unique and challenging project to work on. Massive congrats to the Grant family for preserving this important piece of Queenstown’s history. They have shown great perseverance to bring their vision to life.

Opening Day for the old Queenstown School House building at Country Lane is fast closing in. The last minute rush is on but the spaces are already looking incredible. Some gorgeous re-purposed doors, polished up original floors, and cool old-school window opening technology on display.

Work is progressing nicely on the Old School renovation at Country Lane. New walls have been constructed, a LOT of new flooring, and many windows and doors have been removed for refurbishment. This type of work requires precision and attention to detail. The transformation is slowly but surely revealing itself.

This is pretty exciting and it’s finally all go! The old Queenstown school building (more recently used as the Arts Centre) has been split in two for transporting to its new home at Country Lane Retail Village. Tahuna Building will be the builders on this unique and historic renovation to give the old building a new lease of life in its new location. Check it out if you’re driving along the highway past Country Lane.
