Plenty happening behind the scenes to make sure the right access is in place and the job can keep moving safely.

Whether it’s a straightforward setup or one of those tricky spots that needs a bit more thinking, the MACS Services crew gets stuck in and gets it sorted.

Just another busy day for the team.

When Hospital Maintenance Needs Safe Access

These jobs covered Auckland Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Middlemore Hospital, supporting a range of hospital maintenance, asbestos removal and site upgrade works.

Working in live healthcare environments means there’s a lot more to think about than simply getting the scaffold up. Safe access, keeping work areas contained, working around staff and patients, and making sure other trades can get on with their jobs all need to be properly planned.

From smaller maintenance setups through to larger multi level access, our crew worked around each site to provide safe and practical access where it was needed.

Good planning, good communication and a solid crew getting it sorted.

Keeping Things Moving on a Live Hospital Site.

Big jobs need more than just scaffolding. They need proper planning, coordination and a crew that knows what they’re doing.

A look back at some of our project work completed at Auckland Hospital, where the MACS team delivered complex scaffolding and access solutions within a live healthcare environment.

Working around an operational hospital meant there was plenty to consider. Public and patient safety, pedestrian and traffic movements, permits, safe access and privacy all had to be carefully managed while the work carried on around us.

With advanced scaffold configurations and engineered elements involved, everything needed to be properly planned, verified and signed off, with qualified and safety trained scaffolders carrying out the work.

Pretty proud of the crew on projects like these. It’s a good example of what MACS can deliver when the site is complex, the risks are high and getting the details right really matters.

Specialised temporary works this week for the MACS team.

Our client required an engineered shoring and support solution for a cantilevered infinity pool at second-storey level.

The geometry and loads sat well outside a standard scaffold or propping setup, so we designed, calculated and installed a custom temporary works system from first principles. It also couldn't touch the ground!

From concept design and engineering through to site delivery and installation and sign off, the team delivered a fully compliant, high-capacity solution that allowed the pool structure to be safely supported during construction.

This is the kind of out-of-the-box temporary works we specialise in.
