Here’s a list of roadworks for the week ahead on Waikato state highways, so you can plan your travel between Saturday 21 February – Friday 27 February.

β€’ SH3/30 Te KΕ«iti: From Monday 23 February overnight road resurfacing will begin on SH3, from Seddon Street to SH30 and on SH30 from SH3 intersection to Lawrence Street. Work will be done Sunday to Thursday nights, between 8pm and 6am, and is expected to take 8 nights to complete.

β€’ SH1 East Taupō Arterial: Two nights of chipsealing work near Centennial Drive is scheduled for Sunday 22 and Monday 23 February, from 7pm to 6am, under stop/go traffic management. Outside these hours, temporary speed limits will be in place.

β€’ SH2 Karangahake Gorge: Crews will be working on the 3 sites at the western end of the gorge, where there is already a lane closure in place – this will be extended to accommodate these works. Lane closures will be needed at each site for the repairs to be done, so the work will be sequenced to minimise impacts on traffic.

All roadworks are subject to weather and other factors, so we may cancel or postpone works at late notice.

Last year Road Worx Solutions Ltd celebrated 5 years in operation. There have been many lessons but I think the most important lesson. Is keeping yourself healthy not just on the worksite but yourself personally.

A few years ago I suffered a seizure while driving with my good friend. I count it a Blessing we survived if you thought it woke me up it didn't and I became depressed. I've come through it now and have started taking care of myself.

This certificate means a lot more than just saying we are now accredited. It says we take health and Safety seriously as a small TTM company here in NZ, we look after ourselves, our own, and our clients and community.

Our new goal is to beat last year's score, and create a more robust health and safety framework that is user friendly, achieves our higher performance goals, and gives confidence to our clients, our community, and our team.
