And they’re off! Course 1 at the 2mi season prep is underway!

Monte has been gracious enough to train some new draggers. It is a true art form to create the perfect track out of what we’ve got and we couldn’t appreciate his dedication to our sport any more than we do. We’re so grateful to this next generation stepping up. They will be out dragging until Tuesday and will send pics along the way so keep an eye out.

Last week Kiwi coupe made road trip from Invercargill via Dunedin for a Dyno to end
up at Manawahe Stone and Quarry's workshop in the sunny BOP.

Its getting the final touches on it so we can hit those record speeds 🇳🇿

Just couldn't wait to get this out. Thanks to a bunch of people, the Kiwi Coupe has a date, August 1st, Salt Flats, Utah. Llew Gray, our new partner/driver, huge thanks. We wouldn't be here without you. Bruce Thornton, our second driver from here in Riverton, got motivated when Chris couldn't. We really wouldn't be racing this year without him. Graham Paige came through with the engine refresh, Derek oversaw the Jerico gearbox, Horse fabricated the new windscreen alterations, Shane (Llew's right hand man) stepped into Mechanic role, arrived in Riverton on Sunday for final work to be done for the start-up. He is driving north to Whakatane with the car in tow today. More names to put up here...so many have helped. Will get to you soon. Sponsors we are honoring from 2020's covid cancellation. Wow, the little car has surely united a whole bunch of great people. Thanks too to Alistair at Dominion Electric for fitting us in for the rewiring job, and Mike Lind in Dunedin. We now have the horsepower number but more on that later. We're on our way!!!

Hopefully you're all aware of CMR Bolivia. They're posting daily if you're interested. Reg's first drive in Cookie, testing track conditions, produced 199mph (unofficially) against a 175mph record. An awesome up for what has been a mammoth task so far.
