Quality is everything. One of the PWNZ team have been in Wellington this week completing pre-construction Electrofusion & Butt Welding tests for two upcoming watermain renewal contracts we have been successful in securing. This is an important pre-project requirement to ensure compatibility of; Pipe ,Fitting, Machine and the Human element of the work. We are required to complete 3 pre-con tests for each combination.

What a day for the PWNZ team!

We got our brand new Huerner 1000mm butt welding machine to site, fired it up and completed one DN900 SDR17 Pre-Con test weld and one Construction weld.

This will be the first of many construction welds on this project for Wellington Water - Bothamley Park Waste Water Trunk Main upgrade.

We also have 5 sections of DN900 SDR11 to butt weld up into strings for some Trenchless Installations.
