With so much glazing in our designs, the quality of your windows and doors plays a huge role in how warm, dry and energy efficient your home is.
That’s why at South Base Homes, we only use thermally broken, double-glazed aluminium joinery, rated for High Wind Zones, with argon gas between the glass panes for improved insulation.
Unlike conventional aluminium double glazing, thermally broken frames have an insulating barrier that reduces heat transfer through the aluminium. Argon gas between the panes further reduces heat loss, improving the overall thermal performance of the window.
We also offer AluVent passive ventilation, allowing fresh air into the home while the windows remain closed — helping with airflow, moisture and condensation.
We love using large windows and doors to create bright, open spaces, but the more glazing a home has, the more important its performance becomes.
