Project Matahi
Bouw Projects has spent the past 10 weeks renovating a cherished family home at Lake Rotoma. The home had been built in two stages, one half 80+ years old and the other 30+. The brief was to strengthen and relevel the old section of the home and provide it with a fresh lease of life.
The project began with a significant overhaul of the original foundation system. Following three weeks of reinforcement and relevelling work, we moved on to the roof structure and followed the same course. By utilising modern building standards, including smaller spans and increased timber and concrete, we have achieved a superior result and betterment of the original construction.
With the structural work complete, we transitioned to the interior. We seamlessly integrated the living, dining, and kitchen areas by installing uniform ceiling heights and new wall linings, along with two skylights to maximise natural light.
The project is now moving into the final stages which include interior painting, a new kitchen install, floor coverings, and new external joinery throughout.
It has been a privilege to be entrusted with this challenging and rewarding renovation and we look forward to sharing photos of the completed home soon.
