Hey guys! Hope everyones new year has kicked off to be as busy as mine!

Been going flat out in the newyear, however! I've managed to slip away from the hammer and link up with Sika Hunts NZ who helped me sneak in on this beauty. His pre-roar condition is off the charts and an awesome set of antlers to tick off my first sika trophy hunt.
Cheers to Andrew and his family for welcoming us to their home and giving me a few pointers on how to stalk in properly. The family and I will be back for sure!

If your keen on hunting this roar and are after that elusive sika trophy, then please dont hesititate to get in touch with the crew at sika hunts nz right now and book a space with the experienced guide himself.

Hey, welcome to The Little Chippy Construction.

My name is Chad Stone and I am the builder behind the brand.

Did you know that we still use a method of building today that the ancient Egyptians used to build the Pyramids? No, not slavery! String lines, that's why they had been built so well.

I am 30 and have been building just over 6 years. I started my trade apprenticeship in the heart of winter building for Ben Wright at Built Wright Construction. We mainly constructed pole sheds, calf sheds, cow sheds and other rural buildings.

Moving to Taupo from sunny Hawkes Bay in mid-winter was a real shock! The second day on the job and it was snowing, real character-building stuff.

A couple of years later and my body had acclimatized. I had a good range of tools and a good rural building knowledge, not a lot of work got subcontracted. Playing with a concrete screed and trowel was almost a daily exercise. 15m long run roofing was no worries and I had even helped with two new house builds and a few full
renovations along with relocating two buildings. A few 68m long - 30 bay pole sheds were stood.

I then needed to improve my skills in the residential sector, so I moved on to work under John Mcdermott at J.Mcdermott Construction. For John I helped to complete A LOT of renovation work, from rotten bathrooms through to new decks, new door and window installs, small renovations all the way to a 2 bedroom extension over a double garage. A few re-roof and roof extensions. I had my trade apprenticeship qualification with John and for that I am thankful and to everyone who had input into
my training. Without them I wouldn't be where I am now.

My passions in life include my family, immediate and extended. I finished up with John as I had a daughter arriving and didn't want to miss a minute of her growing up. I think that it would have been rather annoying employing someone full time and having them turn up part time for any which reason, So I thought it wouldn't be fair on John to have to put up with me being away as much as I wanted to be with a new baby. So here I am, running a business that can move with the waves of life, as I love being with my family and making sure they are all happy and healthy.

Another passion I hold is hunting. Hunting with dogs is a whole level above rifle hunting, although I do like a good deer stalk and stalking dams for ducks. Seeing a dog go from a house pet stretched out on their bed, through to a finely tuned animal
that can switch on and get the job done, now that is an accomplishment. This is why I have a half wolf head as part of my main logo. I have a strong bond with my pack and they are treated like family.

Doing the hard yards over 4 years to become a qualified builder, alongside building our family and training dogs from scratch. These things have sculpted my mind and body into a builder that can work in a bit of rain and knuckle down against the wind to
go the distance to get the job done. When it's time to get stuck in, then we just get stuck in.

Some of my goals in life are:

To make sure our two kids grow up in a happy healthy environment, knowing that they can chase their dreams and we will be right behind them in support.

To own a house that we can make our home, with a bit of land to have livestock and ride bikes or fly kites and to have a vege garden so big that I can't keep up with the
weeding.

To live a good life that is fulfilling and worth enjoying when it’s time to watch it flash before my eyes.
Now, I'll tell you what! If you've read this far then you must have been bored. I have found that spending money is the best boredom buster ever!

Send an email today to arrange a visit and a quote, then we can get you un-bored right away.

Cheers.
