This time last year, Eco2Energy was brand new and exhibiting at Mystery Creek Fieldays® for the very first time.

A lot can happen in 12 months.

Since then, we’ve been installing CO₂-powered hot water and milk cooling systems on dairy farms across the country.

We’ve helped farmers save money, protect milk quality, and give them peace of mind they’ll always have enough hot water at the right temperature when they need it.

Now, we’re heading back to Fieldays, and we can’t wait to share our technology with even more farmers.

This week, we headed out to Opepe Farms near Taupo to install an air-to-water CO₂ hot water system.

The system is designed to deliver reliable, high-temperature hot water for the dairy shed, while using CO₂, which is a natural refrigerant with Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1, which means it's better for the shed, and a smarter choice for the environment. ♻️

For dairy farms, hot water is non-negotiable. It needs to be there when you need it, at the right temperature, every day.

Great to see another local farm investing in practical technology that supports efficient, future-ready dairy operations.

We’re looking for a Refrigeration Technician to join the Eco2Energy team in Taupō.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong refrigeration experience who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working with practical technology that makes a real difference for farmers and businesses.

The role covers installation, servicing and maintenance across a wide range of systems, including:

🔧 Dairy farm refrigeration
🔧 Commercial refrigeration
🔧 Truck refrigeration, including Thermo King and Carrier systems
🔧 Walk-in chillers and freezers
🔧 CO₂ transcritical water heating and glycol chiller systems

We’re looking for someone reliable, motivated and safety-focused, with strong diagnostic skills, good communication, and at least five years’ relevant experience.

You’ll be based in the Taupō region, working with a growing team that’s focused on quality workmanship, innovation and great customer service.

We all know that milk quality doesn’t start and end with your cows. What happens in the shed matters just as much.

If your plant or silo wash isn’t hitting the right temperature, there’s a higher risk of residue or bacteria being left behind.

Consistent hot water = consistent cleaning = better milk quality.

We’ve been working on a new CO₂-powered solution for dairy farms, designed to make milk cooling faster, smarter and more efficient.

It’s built for busy dairy sheds, where cooling demand is growing and farmers need reliable gear they can count on.

Hot water systems do a lot of heavy lifting through the season, and the pressure comes on even more once calving starts and demand ramps up again.

As the end of season nears, it’s a good chance to take stock. Did your hot water keep up or were there times it was under pressure? How are your power bills looking? 🤔

If it didn’t quite cut the mustard, now’s the time to look at it, not when you’re in the middle of calving.

More farmers are starting to consider options like CO₂-based hot water systems that are built to handle that peak demand more efficiently and keep power bills down.
