Safeplank Scaffolding is a busy medium sized scaffolding company providing scaffolding solutions based in sunny Tauranga. We are a progressive company servicing the residential and commercial markets.

Based centrally in Taurnga’s Port area we offer excellent remuneration for a working, hands on team leader with potential bonuses for top performers. Work options are varied with work good advancement prospects within the company.

We are looking for a suitably qualified or experienced scaffolder preferably Intermediate to Advanced level to lead our crews on building and dismantling scaffolds. Ideally you would need your own tools, a minimum 4 years scaffolding experience including building wrap structures and a full class 2 NZ driver’s license.

You must have a positive attitude and be able to work with and motivate a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Hours are Monday to Friday 0700-1630 with the option to work Saturdays. Team bonuses apply for top preforming teams.

A big shout-out to one of our Safeplank Team Leaders Shaun, who recently stopped on the way to a job with his crew to help an elderly gentleman who accidentally drove his mobility scooter off the footpath down onto the rocks and incoming tide on Chapel Street living our motto “It’s Better To Be Safeplank Than Sorry”! Some of our builds take us to interesting places like The Goldfields Railway station in Waikino, Karangahake Gorge.

Opening in 1905, the rail line served as a vital link in the transportation of coal and other materials for the mining industry.

The Goldfields Railway now operates a heritage line between Waihi and Waikino, offering scenic rides and preserving the railway's history.

It’s great to be involved in community/local body projects that are changing the way we live and play in Tauranga.

This project involved an unpgrade and re-waterproofing of the council carpark buildings and our amazing crews worked hard to achieve a quality scaffold build done to deadline!

This large job on a commercial car park building required some extra horse-power!

When you can’t put weight on a lower roof, we employ a horse! The ‘horse’ was built and propped between the carpark floors and the weight was loaded onto trusses therefore removing any feet and weight off the lower roof. A must when there’s another 10 scaffold lifts on top of it!
