In Line Engineering has the ability to produce some bespoke engineering solutions.
This is an example of a solution we provided. The original bearing housing was a cast part of this body of this grain mill. The client wanted a repair that was easier to repair in the future.
So we fabricated this steel housing that spigots into the cast housing and bolts on,making it easier to repair in the future.

Something a little different. I thought I'd share some photographs of the mechanisms within the historic Akaroa lighthouse. This particular unit was manufactured in Scotland during the 1870s, subsequently dismantled, and then transported to its site. The setup of this unit is relatively straightforward, utilizing a winch to lift a counterweight, which in turn harnesses the force of gravity to drive the rotation of the top section's prisms, etc., thereby generating a flash. Notably, for Akaroa, this flash occurred every 10 seconds, serving as a navigational aid for ships to identify what light house they were near.

Hey guys
We haven't posted in a while.
Here's a wee job done recently on a John Deere front axle.repairing the center pivot point back to standard size, we have to weld these up using the MMA,(stick arc) process as they are form of cast iron and require a high nickel filler metal so we can machine it after welding without hard spots
