We’re seeing more families looking at smaller homes for parents, adult children, or extended family.

Not necessarily because they planned to.

Mostly because housing costs have changed the way people live.

That’s part of why we designed the Skara and Banff granny flats.

At 70sqm, they’re compact, practical, and designed to work well on smaller Wellington sections.

For many families, smaller homes are becoming a smarter alternative to:
• paying separate rent
• trying to buy another property
• or squeezing everyone into one older home

Not because they wanted something huge.

That makes them a great option for:
• Elderly parents who want to stay close, but still have their own space
• Guests visiting for longer periods
• Or a simple Airbnb setup for additional income

The Banff design is a good example of this — efficient, well laid out, and making the most of every square metre.
