CELEBRATING 60 YEARS IN BUSINESS - Ex Employees gathering at The Fitz Restaurant & Bar
Sixty years means six decades of people.
Last month we gathered to celebrate past employees and the friendships that have shaped the GC Group across more than half a century. It was a night full of stories, laughter, and the kind of reconnections that reminded us why this business has always been about more than just trucks and fertiliser.
The stories came easily. Tractor tales. The night someone got stuck in a paddock. The time someone did something that shouldn't have worked but somehow did. Names you haven't heard in years got mentioned with warmth and recognition. There was genuine joy in those conversations.
What struck us most was the continuity. People who started with us decades ago, who drove spreaders in the 80s or worked in the workshop in the 90s, who helped build what we have today - they came back. Because sixty years isn't built on transactions. It's built on relationships.
That's the culture John and Malcolm established from day one. Rod and Dave have carried it forward.
To everyone who came: thank you for being part of our story. Thank you for the years you gave us, the skills you brought, the effort you invested. You built the foundation that made our reunion night possible and you built the foundation that the next sixty years will stand on.
And to those who've worked with us over the decades but couldn't make it: you're in these stories too. You're in the business we've become.
Sixty years of people. Sixty years of friendships. That's something worth celebrating.
