🚧 Hinemoa Street Boat Ramp & Pontoon Replacement – Project Update 🚧

Great progress continues at our Hinemoa Street Boat Ramp and Pontoon Replacement Project in Birkenhead for Auckland Council.

Over the past few weeks, the Land + Sea Civil team has worked through some extremely challenging site and tidal conditions to achieve several major milestones:

🔹 Completion of the temporary works cofferdam
🔹 Successful dewatering of the work area
🔹 Demolition and removal of the existing boat ramp
🔹 Construction of the new reinforced concrete foundations
🔹 Installation of the precast concrete retaining wall panels

Working within a tidal marine environment always presents its challenges, and this project has certainly tested the team. Despite the difficult conditions, tight working areas and demanding temporary works requirements, the crew has continued to push the project forward and make excellent progress.

A massive effort from everyone involved to get the project to this stage.

The video below shows just how much has been achieved so far — with plenty more to come as we move toward construction of the new boat ramp and pontoon system.

🚧 Project Complete – Clive Howe Recreational Carpark Renewal 🚧

We’re proud to have completed the renewal of the Clive Howe Recreational Carpark, delivering a safer, more durable, and more functional asset for the local community.

Our team carried out:
• Removal of the deteriorated existing pavement
• Upgraded stormwater drainage infrastructure
• Construction of a new pedestrian footpath to provide safer access throughout the site
• Installation of a new asphalt surface for a smooth, long-lasting finish

This project has transformed an ageing carpark into a modern facility that will better serve park users for years to come.

A great result delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard by the Land + Sea Civil team.

🚧 New Project Awarded! 🚧

Land + Sea Civil Ltd is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Pontoon and Boat Ramp Replacement Project at Hinemoa Street, Birkenhead, on behalf of Auckland Council.

This exciting marine infrastructure project will involve the complete reconstruction of the existing facility, including the construction of a new reinforced concrete boat ramp and the installation of a modern floating pontoon system.

We look forward to delivering a high-quality asset that will enhance public access to the waterfront and serve the local boating community for years to come.
