Our new project on the busy corner of Hawthorne and Glenda Drives in Frankton is taking shape!

Last week marked a big visual milestone with the installation of the structural steel for this retail development.

We are proud to be partnering with National Retail Group on this exciting new development.

Welcome to our new space!

A carefully curated three-storey building incorporating and showcasing the core elements of our business from the exposed precast concrete panels in our meeting rooms to structural steel beams in our reception area. The finishing touches bring a touch of warmth to the raw elements and have subtle nods to the evolution of Calder Group, representing our past, present and future.

A big thank you to Scott Wallis and team for their attention to detail, and executing the build to the highest standard.

A special mention to our steel fabrication team for the installation of the raw steel balustrade - this was no mean feat.

Within a week our McCormick Street project has transformed.

Last week our construction and crane teams erected over 50 precast concrete panels in three days and visually transformed this site - vertical integration at it's best!

A special mention to Gareth, Marius and the onsite construction team for all their hardwork ensuring these panels were erected safely and efficiently.

Project managing by day, training like a mad man by night!

Over the weekend one of our project managers Jarrod Graham successfully completed the Challenge Wanaka Triathlon Half in the individual section. This multi sport event isn't for the faint hearted, it includes a 1.9km swim in Lake Wanaka, a 90km out-and-back lap to Treble Cone Ski Field on the bike and a casual 21.km run to Beacon Point and back to the lakefront to finish.

We are incredibly proud of Jarrod for successfully completing the event and for the countless hours of training he has done in preparation for this event, all whilst keeping his projects on schedule!

Recently we were invited to celebrate the opening of The Arches Cafe & Bar - Balclutha's newest hospitality venue.

Our team worked closely with the Clutha Licensing Trust to design and construct a building that could be enjoyed by loyal locals and visitors passing through. Our in-house architectural team had the challenge of designing a building that complimented the unique shape of the site and offered patrons a selection of indoor and outdoor seating.

We are proud to have been entrusted by the Clutha Licensing Trust as the main contractor for this project, that will provide the Clutha District with a modern, fit for purpose facility to enjoy for plenty of years to come!

The building showcases our vertically integrated capabilities from design, manufacturing through to construction.

A new edition on Old Saleyard Road, Cromwell.

We are proud to have partnered with the team at ElectroNet Group on the design, manufacture and construction of their new purpose built office and workshop building in Cromwell.

Not possible without our hardworking structural steel, precast concrete and construction teams, a special mention to Andrew, Brad and Quintin who ensured it all came together seamlessly onsite - top work!

Our 100-tonne crane making light work of lifting this 27m lattice truss into place last week.

The truss was transported to site from our Tapanui manufacturing facility in two parts, welded together and precisely fitted into place onsite.

This large truss has been specifically designed and manufactured to support a gantry crane.
