Maxiproof sealer going on bringing that beautiful grain out . The resin colour is rearly popping oup after this coat

Rainy days keep busy . Bar leaner got its sealer coat . Serving platters get there final coats . Chopping boards got there first coats . Love how that oils really makes the wood just pop with colour .

Serving platters will be at smoky pallet tomorrow ready for there new updated menu.

Pretty damn happy with how this is turning out . Turned out to be more art than woodworking . A few more finishing touches and the final result will be revealed Saturday . Pretty damn happy with how this has turned out

Fully sanded flat and ready to add some detail . Unsure what side I want to use for the top so I’m going to have to sleep on it . Loving the imperfections in it as it’s giving me something to work with to create something special .
The natural colours in this kauri is something ive brought out during the sanding process .
This build is something I can’t wait to finish and reveal the ultimate plan for . The story that follows this project has so much personal value , it’s something we are excited to present

Awesome how this is turning out . Only have a few days to complete it so progress is going quick .
My idea for this was to recreate pounamu infused into some rimu . Found the perfect piece of rimu anrl nailed the pounamu colour.
Looking forward to the final reveal this weekend
