We love how this kitchen turned out! Everything combined invites a modern yet simplistic and warm feel.

We think the flooring especially makes a huge difference. We’ve been in love with the flooring in every house we have done using planking.

We have used a different look in every house we have done with them and every. single. time. we have been impressed with the final result.

When we finally decide to build the home of our boss lady’s dreams, one of their products will be going down - for sure! -

P.S. Who doesn’t love that splash back?!

We like to make sure everyone in the home has an opportunity to feel included and to be a part of what’s going on.

The devil’s in the details 😈

How do you take cool tones and make a house feel warm?

It’s allllll about balance and detail. And many people find this part tricky to get right!

At 14 Lady Jocelyn Place, Whitianga, we pulled together a balance of both cool and warm tones. How do you think we did?

The house colour scheme was black, grey and arctic white.

To achieve a warmer feel with colours that can often seem stark and cool, we decided to incorporate in warmer, natural features such as the Elkwood flooring from - this specific product really complimented the colour schemes as the flooring has a touch of grey throughout. 🖤

To carry on with the warm wooden theme, we opted for wooden feature pendants from to brighten the room.

In the bathrooms, we selected “driftwood” looking vanities with a touch of grey throughout to really tie all the colours together nicely.

To achieve an even warmer look, feel free to add a touch of nature and a pop of colour to rooms when decorating E.g. Plants and warm feature colours such as mustard, burnt orange or shades of green.

Who doesn’t love a room with a view? 🌊😍

The master bedroom in this house was huuuge! The grandest one we’ve done, yet! And what a view?!

We used large windows/doors by NZWindows with minimal panels to really optimise the ocean view.
