Sohar Aluminium Sohar Aluminium was formed in September 2004 to undertake a landmark Greenfield aluminium smelter in the Sultanate of Oman.

It has an annual production capacity of more than 395,000 tonnes of high-quality aluminium, 1,000 MW Power Plant & Port facilities. Founded in 2004 as the Sultanate of Oman’s first Greenfield aluminium smelter, Sohar Aluminium Company LLC is a landmark industrial development project and key contributor to Oman’s sustainable development ambitions and long-term prosperity. It has an annual capacity

of 390,000 tonnes of high-quality aluminium, a 1,000 MW dedicated Power Plant and Port facilities in Oman. Jointly owned by OQ SAOC, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC – TAQA and Rio Tinto, Sohar Aluminium has won global acclaim for its superior, environmentally friendly technology. By implementing decades of industry insight in its design, specification and construction, Sohar Aluminium has been created to ensure efficiency, environmental protection, and the utmost safety of its workforce. Sohar Aluminium has a diverse workforce which is 76% Omanised and its own internationally recognised training centre. 60% of the annual production is committed to its local downstream
industries.

أطلقت حملتها السنوية لإدارة الإجهاد الحراري، التي شهدت عرضًا مسرحيًا توعويًا قدمته ومشاركة من وزارة العمل وصندوق الحماية الاجتماعية، بالإضافة إلى مسابقات وعروض تفاعلية قدمها طلبة مدرســة الهمبار للتعليم الأساسي.

تحت رعاية سعادة المهندس مسعود بن سعيد الهاشمي، محافظ جنوب الباطنة، وقعت شركة ومحافظة جنوب الباطنة مذكرة تفاهم لدعم مشروع الواجهة البحرية بولاية بركاء من خلال توفير بنية خدمية متكاملة في المشروع عبر إنشاء أكشاك وعربات طعام حديثة تلبي احتياجات مرتادي الواجهة البحرية والزوار، وتسهم في تنشيط الحركة السياحية والترفيهية، إلى جانب توفير فرص استثمارية للشباب العُماني وأصحاب المشاريع الناشئة.

Masoud bin Said Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah, and South Al Batinah Governorate, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support Barka Waterfront Project through creating a vibrant public destination by introducing contemporary kiosks and food trucks along the waterfront, to transform the area into a dynamic lifestyle destination that serves residents, attracts visitors, and empowers local entrepreneurs.
