The success of the NiuPower Lifeskills program is evident in the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants.

We would like to thank our shareholders Kumul Petroleum & Santos for the work that we are able to carry out through the Community Investment Program.

The lifeskills initiative not only fosters individual growth but also strengthens the community by creating new opportunities for economic development.

Anna Amos, the designer facilitating the training, emphasized the importance of such programs in building self-reliance and fostering creativity. She noted that the participants' progress over the ten days was remarkable, with many showcasing talent and creativity in their designs.

The graduation ceremony was attended by community leaders, family members, and representatives from NiuPower and AA Tribal.

The graduates proudly displayed their creations, which included a variety of garments, demonstrating the skills they had acquired.

Looking ahead, NiuPower plans to continue its support for the Lifeskills program, with the hope of expanding it to other villages in the region. The ultimate goal is to create a network of skilled individuals who can contribute to the local economy and inspire future generations.

The impact of the NiuPower Lifeskills program extends beyond the practical skills learned. It instils a sense of confidence and pride in the participants, empowering them to envision and work towards a better future.

Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea – 02/05/2025 – NiuPower is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2025 Hiri Moale Festival, a vibrant celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Motuan people. The festival will take place from April 3rd to 6th at Era Kone, Ela Beach, in Port Moresby.

The Hiri Moale Festival commemorates the historic Hiri trading voyages, where the seafaring Motuans of Central Province journeyed to the Gulf Province aboard the lakatoi, a large, multi-hulled sailing canoe. These voyages were crucial for trading clay pots for sago and other traditional goods, forging enduring friendships and cultural ties that are still celebrated today.

NiuPower is honored to support this iconic event, which features traditional songs, dances, and rituals that reflect the significance of the Hiri trade. Highlights of the festival include the Gulf Province Ceremony, the Trukai Vanagi Race, cultural performances, and the crowning of the 2025 Hiri Hanenamo, where young Motuan women compete for the title of “Hiri Queen”.

The sponsorship by NiuPower will go towards the construction of the Hiri Lakatoi by Lealea Village in the Hiri West.

This year, NiuPower will:

▪️Sponsor an entrant in Hiri Hanenamo from one of the five villages that we support.

▪️Sponsor 20 students across the villages of Porebada, Boera, Papa, Lealea, and Kido to Port Moresby Technical College.

▪️Continue to deliver six 9,000-litre water tanks to each of the five villages that we support.

▪️Continue to roll out sport programmes for school-age children and youth.

▪️Complete the delivery of a double classroom – library at Papa Primary.

▪️Complete the delivery of a double classroom – library at Boera Village.

▪️Continue our support to Community Health Workers across the five villages.

▪️Continue to roll out our Life Skills Programme across all five villages in 2025, starting with Lealea.
