STS Token meters can be used to sell power to consumers from a Private Solar Power Plant in remote isolated areas in PNG.

In PNG, many area in the 4 x regions of PNG are isolated from the main Utility Grid or PNG Power Ltd grid such as islands, swampy areas of Western Province, etc.

Sustainable/Renewable energy source such as Solar Power Plants is the best choice because of basic facts like:

1. Abundance sunlight on most areas of PNG
2.Readily available parts to purchase/transport/construct.
3. Variery of makes, models and suppliers of solar power systems
4. Maybe expensive at first but the Return on Inveatment (ROI) in steady and eventually pays off.
5. An invester can build a Solar Power plant and:
- supply to PNG Power Ltd grid inwhich PPL pays for kW supplied to grid
- if no grid, build own grid/power transmission lines to supply consumers and use Token meters to charge Watt-hr consumed.

Renewable energy such as Solar, hydro, wind is the way forward to develop the outskirts/isolated/remote places of PNG where Papua New Guineans live.
