We are delighted to create a design of a 2 – storey house for a neighbor. A Family of 4 dreams to have a modern contemporary house which will consist of 3 bedrooms, a spacious Living and Dining area, family hall and wide balcony.
One of the design considerations is to create a light and breathable house that will help the family to have a frugal power consumption. This is solved by having wide fenestrations, locating areas like dining area, kitchen, and bedrooms to face northern side and passive flow of wind with the help of an atrium at the core of the house. The frontage of the lot is quite facing the west. Glare of the setting sun is solved by providing sun shading and tall trees like palm in the garden.
The Client also has the idea of having a sustainable source of utilities like solar power and rainwater harvesting, which we gladly encourage for the design.
