Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost and Estimation Electrical Engineer to support project planning and bidding by preparing accurate estimates and cost evaluations for electrical systems ranging from low voltage (LV) to medium and high voltage (MV/HV). The candidate will assess project requirements, interpret technical documents and drawings, and work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure precise cost forecasting and budget alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects across LV, MV, and HV systems, including:
* Power distribution systems
* Switchgear, transformers, and substations
* Cable sizing and routing
* Earthing and lightning protection systems
* Panel boards, MCCs, and control panels
* Instrumentation and automation systems
* Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
* Develop bill of quantities (BOQ) and pricing sheets in coordination with design and procurement teams.
* Analyze and compare supplier/vendor quotes, ensuring technical compliance and cost-effectiveness.
* Collaborate with design, construction, and procurement teams to ensure estimate accuracy.
* Participate in tendering processes, client meetings, and pre-bid clarifications.
* Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
* Maintain and update a database of unit rates, labor costs, and material prices.
* Conduct risk analysis and provide cost contingencies and forecasting.
* Assist in preparing project budgets, cash flows, and cost control reports during ex*****on.
* Stay updated with market trends, local regulations, and cost changes in the electrical industry.

Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* 3–7 years of experience in cost estimation for electrical projects, especially in LV/MV/HV systems.
* Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC), and utility requirements.
* Proficiency in estimation software such as Excel, Candy, CostX, or CCS, and familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit MEP.
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
